Using the Internet Safely
The Internet is a whole world to discover – full of interesting facts, images, and people. Like the real world, the virtual world of the Internet also has its dangers, so it pays to be aware of potential threats before they arise.

Accidents Happen!
Unintentional injury is the number one killer of America’s children, taking more lives than disease, violence and suicide. Learn more at the website for National KIDS Campaign.

Child Safety Seat Inspections
Unfortunately, due to staffing levels, we are temporarily unable to continue our weekly car seat installation/inspection program.  We anticipate being able to restart the program in January 2007 or sooner (if staffing levels change).

People needing car seat checks, should contact the Contra Costa Car Seat Safety Coalition phone line at 925-941-7989. This hotline is updated with the times and locations of upcoming car seat events and a list of all the fitting station phone numbers in Contra Costa County.

Please note that John Muir Health Center in Brentwood is now checking seats every other Wednesday and is open to anyone needing a seat check regardless of residency. The number to call for an appointment is 925-941-7900, Option #3.

Amber Alert
