The City of Antioch Environmental Resources Division is committed to creating a cleaner, healthier, and more vibrant community for current and future generations. Local Governments play an important role in protecting the environment, conserving natural resources, and reducing greenhouse gas emission. The Environmental Resources Division aims to empower the community of Antioch to reduce our impact and the impact of others on our local and global resources by providing green programs, incentives, and tips on resource conservation topics, such as, energy efficiency, waste and pollution prevention, and water conservation.
The City is working on updates to our Waste Prevention programs to address regulations related to California’s Short-Lived Climate Pollutant (SLCP) Reduction Strategy (SB1383). Updates and information on this effort can be found here.
